The common artefacts which may be confused with cardiac pathology will be covered and an overview of the changes seen in common acquired and congenital cardiac disease in the dog and cat will be illustrated. The theory of Doppler will be introduced and its application in acquired and congenital disease. Normal Doppler findings will be discussed.
