Our Nurse Certificates (NCerts) are designed to take your nursing to the next level.
Our Nurse Certificates comprise:
Preparation for end-of-programme assessment
Taught sessions with accompanying notes
Practical sessions where relevant to the subject
Pre and post module online self assessment
Independent study, including online components
Support throughout your learning journey
How our Nurse Certificates work
- The courses are held in a face to face training environment
- You can choose to study over a period of up to three years towards the exam
- Each module consists of
- Pre-module preparation
- Taught session – 6 hours
- Post-module review and further reading
- Pre- and post-module studying is structured around defined learning objectives and you are required to evaluate personal learning goals and record sources used for further study
- Each taught session concludes with a discussion consisting of case-based questions occupying the final 30 minutes of the session
We Support You Every Step of the Way
You will be able to access learning resources which support you through each module ensuring you have all the information you need:
- Comprehensive course notes
- A defined syllabus with associated learning objectives
- Reading lists relevant to each module and extra information sources
- Access to our online Learning Management System which provides access to a notes library, discussion forums and other study resources
- Pre- and post-module questions and self-assessment evaluations enabling you to track your learning
- A dedicated Programme Tutor who will support you during your NCert programme
Entry Requirements:
In order to attain the NCert qualification delegates must be able to prove their eligibility by either uploading their veterinary nursing qualification certificate or their RCVS/VCI number to Improve once they have booked onto their programme of study.
You can attend the modules if you are a student, or not in practice and enrolled with the RCVS; however, you will not be able to attain the NCert qualification.
