Nurse Certificate Programmes

Your journey through our Nurse Certificate programmes

Our Nurse Certificates (NCerts) are designed to take your nursing to the next level.

How our Nurse Certificates work

  • The courses are held in a face to face training environment
  • You can choose to study over a period of up to three years towards the exam
  • If you are working towards the NCert, a final multiple choice exam is held each November
  • Each module consists of
    • Pre-module preparation – 1 hour
    • Taught session – 6 hours
    • Post-module review and further reading – 2 to 3 hours
  • For Small Animal Nutrition only, you will be required to spend an hour completing tasks provided by the speakers at the end of each module. You will also be expected to spend 2 to 3 hours between each module on post module review and further reading. This programme will also have a spot test instead of a case report
  • Pre and post module studying is structured around defined learning objectives and you are required to evaluate personal learning goals and record sources used for further study
  • Each taught session concludes with a discussion consisting of case-based questions occupying the final 30 minutes of the session

Our Nurse Certificates comprise:

Preparation for end-of-programme assessment

Taught sessions with accompanying notes

Practical sessions where relevant to the subject

Pre and post module online self assessment

Independent study, including online components
