Jon Hall

Jon is the son of a general practice vet from Manchester and went on to qualify himself from Cambridge in 2004. He spent several years in small animal general practice and then completed an internship at the Royal Veterinary College in London, a residency at the University of Cambridge, subsequently lecturing there for a couple of years. In 2017, Jon became Senior Lecturer in small animal soft tissue surgery at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, University of Edinburgh. This year, his teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate students led him to become a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and he is a Royal College and European College Recognised Specialist in small animal surgery. He is highly active in teaching and clinical research, but mainly he really really enjoys a good bit of surgery.
